Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the human body, it accounts for more than 60% of the free amino acids in skeletal muscle. Used extensively by the gut and immune system, glutamine plays a critical role in optimal health and recovery from exercise. During training almost 50% of glutamine can be lost within skeletal muscles. By supplementing with additional glutamine, recovery and thus results will be supported and accelerated. Glutamine might also help reduce catabolism (muscle breakdown) and muscle soreness from intense exercise.
